Webinar: Debugging i.MX8 Cortex-M coprocessor firmware on Variscite System on Modules
Variscite’s i.MX8 based platforms feature Arm Cortex-M coprocessors that can be used for real-time applications.
Would you like to learn how to develop and debug firmware on i.MX8 Cortex-M series coprocessors?
In this webinar, a Variscite expert will demonstrate how to create, compile and debug projects using Microsoft Visual Studio Code and Variscite’s VAR-SOM-MX8M-PLUS.
You will learn how to:
- Install Microsoft VS Code, Segger J-Link and the Arm Toolchain on a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 host computer
- Compile and run Variscite’s example projects for multicore communication, peripheral usage (GPIO, SPI, I2C, etc.), FreeRTOS and more
- Start and stop Cortex-M firmware from Linux
- Debug firmware on Variscite’s VAR-SOM-MX8M-PLUS Cortex-M7 using VS Code’s graphical debugger and a USB Segger J-Link Pro
It is recommended to watch the Getting Started Debugging C/C++ on Variscite System on Modules prior to attending this webinar.
